Dear au pair, We are an international family - my husband is French / American / British and I am Indian / American. We have two beautiful sons, one is 5 months old and the other 3 years old. We have busy work lives. We both work and our sons will be going to nursery for most of the day. We had a lovely au pair who stayed with us for about 18 months and we are looking for another one starting as soon as possible. We live 25 mins by train south of London in a nice town called Purley, a leafy suburb of the city. Our house is in conveniently located within walking distance to the train station, shops, pubs and a language school. My husband and I work full time (at a university and at a bank) and both the children go to nursery for most of the day. We enjoy outdoor activities like going to children's playgrounds, walks in parks and the countryside, and sports like tennis, biking, swimming and skiing. We also like reading and watching movies. We travel quite a lot during holidays and sometimes on weekends, as we have family members around the world and also we like exploring new places and cultures (or at least we used to before we had two young kids to manage! ;) ). Our daily lives are quite busy. We need an au pair to help get the two children ready and drive them to nursery in the morning. Then in the afternoon, pick them up, play with them some and help feed, bathe and get them ready for bed. A little help keeping the house tidy and doing some laundry would also be very useful. My husband and I will be there to help with many things on most days but we need someone who is independent, reliable, cheerful and energetic and able to keep pace with a busy household. We are friendly, easygoing and flexible, basically looking for somebody to feel part of the family instead of just fulfilling a specific set of duties. I am currently on maternity leave but planning to go back to work some time in February, so we would like an au pair who can join us by around early Feb.
