Dear Au Pair, We are a young, fun loving little family of 3. Our daughter, Rosie, just turned 1 last October and she is an amazing little girl. Saying that she is the light of our eyes would be an understatement. We know that every parent says that, but we are certain that once you get to know her, you will agree with us! She is energetic and loves to stay active through playing and going out for walks. And we love doing these things with her. However, I (mommy) will soon return to work full time and since daddy works full time too, we came to the decision that an au pair is the best option for us. As a former au pair myself, I know that when you find a good family (or a good au pair) it can be a wonderful experience that can lead to lifelong friendships.
Your main focus would be our daughter, and we'd like you to treat her as your little sister. There is not much housework involved, because we enjoy keeping our home clean and tidy up as we use things. Naturally, we'd expect you to do the same. We might ask you to hoover a room or fill/empty the dishwasher but not much else. Basically it would be ideal if we managed to adapt to each other as real family members!
