aged 38 working as retail manager, my oldest son Joshua aged 6 (7 in Jan & diagnosed with high functioning autism/ Asperger's syndrome) and my youngest son Jayden 5. We live in Stanmore, London, where it is very easy to access London by public transport/ tube as we are on the Jubliee Line. Stanmore is a nice and safe place to live as a family, with access to restaurants, bars, a country park, parks, library, bowling. There is also a college who offer English courses. (If interested please let me know and I can register your interest, so that you have a good chance of starting the course in September when you join us). We have had experience working with an au pair and loved the experience. As busy working parents, we require support to look after our children with their very busy lives and require help in managing our home. My children are very busy with school and outside of school, where they partake in Swimming, Karate, Piano, French, Kumon, varied sports club and drama. Someone who is able to support in these areas or others would be great. Help is required with homework, getting them ready for school, preparing a meal for them, picking them up, the after school activities, (timetable can be shared) and with bathing. Some flexibility will be required when my husband is working (as he works alternate weekends), during school holidays (although they will be at holiday camp) and if they fall ill. They are both very energetic, loving and helpful who embraces anyone who cares to spend time with them. We also love to celebrate all events - an excuse to have a party! Josh

Joshua has Asperger's Syndrome/ high functioning autism, therefore we will require someone who is patient, sympathetic, caring, passionate and trustworthy and would like someone who has an understanding or ideally has experience of caring for someone with Asperger's syndrome. We have found methods to support Joshua, therefore we are able to lead a 'normal' family life where Joshua is involved in all activities we do as a family. Joshua likes to read, write stories and play games. Jayden is very socialable with a lot of energy and his favourite question is 'why?'. Jayden loves to play varied sports, help in the kitchen and playing games also. As a family we like to go on holiday, to the theatre, cinema, farms, attraction parks, and to the temple. We don't have much family in London, but friends tend to be our children's friends or work colleagues. As an Indian family, we eat a lot of Indian food, which can be quite spicy, where we will ask for help in cooking dinner. We would hope that someone would share our love for this food too. We do eat other cuisine such as Italian, Mexican and Thai, as our previous au pair was Spanish, we were able to eat some Spanish dishes also. We are also looking for someone who can drive, has a good level of English, experience working with children and would really like the commitment of staying with us at least 2 years. We hope to find someone who is caring, hard working, patient, creative and active where we feel we can place our trust to look after our children and be at home when we are not there. We are completely against drugs and smoking
