We are: Lilia, 3 Richard, 44, Irish, economist Marita, 39, Austrian, German- and Englishtrainer Speedy, 7, our cat (you shouldn't be allergic to cats) We are warm and very easy-going people. We are easy to live with, wellcoming and know how to treat an au pair well. We will give you contact details of previous au pairs so you can ask them about us. We have a house with garden and 4 bed-rooms. You would have a nice and quiet double bed room under the roof with a window facing our garden. We would have breakfast and dinner as a family (including ypu of course). I cook 100% vegetarian, 99% vegan, you should not have a problem with that. Lunch is a bit chaotic and more on an eat-when-where-and-what-you-like thing. You just tell us what you like to eat and we will buy it for you. We live in Ealing between zone 3 and 4. This is not super central, but Ealing is a very nice place. Many au pairs live in the area, there is even a quite busy FB group where you can get in contact. I also know 4 families personally in our area that have au pairs and you will be able to meet them. There are shops, restaurants and bars, a college (our previous au pair did a lunch time English course there) and language schools. We would like to find an au pair who wants to be part of our family during her stay. Our previous au pairs have been very involved with our family and we have become very good friends during their stay. They cooked or watched TV with us or went on vacation with the family. Our first au pair loved to go out for dinner with us. Our second au pair liked to go to the park to run
Since our current au pair is leaving us at the end of June we are looking for a girl to start around the second or third week of July. We need someone for 20 - 30 hours per week / we pay 70 - 100£ per week. (In July and August we need you for 30h and pay 100£, from September Lilia will go to Kindergarden and we will need you for 20h, except for the term breaks. There will be a fix schedule, you will know when you have to work the next weeks.) It is mainly child care, but also a bit of light house work for approximately 30 mins a day (dishes, some laundry, putting toys away). NO cleaning, we have a cleaning lady twice a week - a big mama who has kind of become part of our family too by now and watches over us. :-) Our daughter is 3 years old, which is not always an easy age. Although she is sweet, loveable, fun and smart, she is also strong-minded and at an age where things like getting her dressed can be a bit of a battle. :-D She needs a lot of stimulation, going outside to the playground or play time at home. We are looking for someone who is outgoing, energetic (!!), fun and warm. Someone who likes children, is patient, has a natural talent for children and has fun being around and playing with them. We live very child-centred (our daughter's needs come first) and are not fans of enforcing many rules. You don't need to be firm or discipline her in any way, we just want you to be the "fun big sister". We think children should grow up more freely than it is usually common in Britain. Also our daughter is quite sensitive and needs a lot of hugs and cuddles and you should be a person who is comfortable with that. :-) You won't have to deal with the difficult bits like bath-time or bed-time or nap-time, but you will be alone and having play time with her for sometimes up to 5 hours a day. 5 hours can be quite long with a toddler if you don't enjoy being with them, so you really have to be sure, that playing with a 3year for that long is your thing! During your time with Lilia you will: - play Play-doh (Plastilin) - look at books with her - draw/paint/craft with her - take her to play groups or on a play date with another au pair - go to the play-ground - play hide and seek - do role plays with her (cooking, shopping, puppet shows...) - make her food - be silly as much as you can - and whatever you can think of Da ich Österreicherin bin, würdest du mit mir und Lilia übrigens Deutsch sprechen.
