We are a pretty relaxed and fun household, who try and spend as much time as possible as a family. We live near a huge park, The Rye, and some woods, yet we are also very close to the town centre and the train line which takes you directly into central London, both less than a mile away.
The Au pair's main job will be to drop our youngest at school in the morning, then collect her at 3:30 and look after her till we get home at around 6:30. You will need to be able to make her dinner and be able to play and have an inventive imagination. Riley likes to be read to and be played with and she is a joy to be around. Our older children are from a previous marriage and live with their mom, however during the school holidays they spend lots of time with us, so you will also be in charge of their care. The kids are great though and no Nanny has ever had an issue with coping with all three as they all muck in and are happy to do whatever. The only housework you would be expected to do would directly relate to Riley's care. Washing up after meals, changing her bedding and keeping her areas of play tidy. We want someone who spends time with the children not someone to clean up after us.
