Hi, We are James and Charlotte with two girls aged 5 and nearly 2. We are looking for a au pair who can help out looking after the children for 25-30 hours a week (no extra duties). James works full time and Charlotte works part-time. We live in a town called Buntingford in Hertfordshire, 10 minutes from Royston station by car, 40 mins into London by train (that's the fast train, slow train can be an hour) or 20 minutes train into Cambridge. Our kids are very sociable - the youngest has been in nursery locally and the eldest is in year one in a school 5 minutes walk away. They both enjoy being around new people. They like to be active - we have a garden and playgrounds nearby, plus lots of activities in the town. We have lived here for 2 years having moved from London.
You will have your own double room, shared family bathroom and £75-£85 per month for 25-30 hours looking after the children (no additional duties). We have WiFi, Sky, 5 bedroom house with 4 reception rooms and a garden. We are busy and eat at different times so during the week we will not often be able to offer family meals for you but we will include you in the family shop and invite you to help yourself/cook for yourself whenever you want . We are in a town called Buntingford where there is a coffee shop, library, doctors, dentist, grocers, cheese shop, 4 pubs, 2 restaurants, lots of things to do and I think also other who au pair/nanny to meet. We will drive you to station if you want to go out to London and/or language school but you will not have use of a car. Duties are looking after the children when Mum/Dad at work (Mum often works at home). This includes school drop off/pick up, preparing meals for children, taking them to activities and looking after nearly 2 year old during the day (toddler groups and playgrounds all in walking distance). We will require you to be in sole charge of the children at times and on at least one day for the full day (9-9.5 hours), so your experience and qualifications would need to make you suitable for this. Our youngest is 2 in December so is still young and therefore we would look for a January 2017 start unless you have the right experience and/or qualifications to start earlier. Thanks for reading!
