Hi! We are looking for a happy, confident and independent au pair with a good standard of English to help mainly around the house, and with our 2 children (aged 6 and 8). We need someone who can start end of August/beginning of September, and we hope to find someone who can stay a while. We are lucky to live in a lovely part of London (near Finchley Central tube station) with plenty to do and explore. The transport is very good and it takes only 30 minutes to get into Central London’s main shopping area, Oxford Street, and all the beautiful city sights. You will have your own large, brand new bedroom with King size bed and en-suite bathroom, in a spacious house. Our two children are Toby (8) and Maisie (6), and are at full time school. They are both very friendly and curious, and love getting to know new people. Toby loves playing the drums, piano, football, drawing pictures and playing board games, while Maisie is extremely outgoing and spends a lot of her time singing and dancing, trampolining, playing with dolls, listening to music and colouring. I am a yoga teacher and work when the children are at school, and after they have gone to bed in the evening. I have a yoga studio at home so most of my clients come to the house. My husband Adam also loves yoga and music, and has a finance business in Central London.
I am looking for an au pair to help in the mornings and early evenings on weekdays, mainly around the house, but also with ?the children when necessary. ?The role is 30 hours work per week and 2 nights babysitting, one of which will usually be a weekend night, but would also appreciate someone who is happy to be flexible. We will pay £100 per week. Responsibilities will include helping to get breakfast for the kids, tidying, clearing the kitchen up after mealtimes, vacuuming, cleaning floors, sorting out clean washing, ironing, cleaning kids’ bedrooms and bathrooms and your own bedroom and bathroom, running errands out of the house, helping with kids’ bedtime. I have a cleaner who will come to do the heavy duty cleaning. We would really like you to tell the children (and us!) about your culture, and?teach them some basic phrases and songs in your language. We want you to ?be happy to play with the children and do activities with them, like ?playing in the garden, sports like table tennis and swing ball, football, drawing, playing music with them, and not to be afraid to be silly in order to make them laugh!
