We are a friendly family living in Stoke Newington (N16) looking for a full time, Swedish speaking, live-in nanny / au pair to care for two lovely girls aged 7 years and 3 years starting from mid-September. The 7-year-old is in school during term time and the younger girl goes to part time nursery 4 days a week. Part of your responsibility will be to take/pick up to/from school and nursery. Your responsibilities will also include cooking and preparing (healthy & nutritious) meals, taking the younger girl to the park and to music/play groups, helping the 7-year-old with homework, arranging playdates and lighter domestic responsibilities such washing the girl’s clothes and keeping our home tidy (we have cleaner coming once a week). We are looking for a warm and caring person who has a genuine interest in children and good understanding of child developmental needs. It is likewise important that you are highly reliable, organized and practical.
The applicant should have/be: - Experience from sole- charge of young children. - At least two references. - Ideally have a relevant education (e.g. Barn och fritidsprogrammet, barnskötar utbildning eller liknande). - Interested in cooking and nutrition. - Creative and full of ideas for age appropriate play activities (baking, arts&crafts etc.). - First aid qualification or willingness to obtain this. - A non-smoker.
