Hi, myself and my partner Barbara are interested in finding a gentle and loving au pair to care for our little Audrey who will turn 3 years old in August. We are both working full time and Audrey will attend pre-school 3 hours a day, Monday to Friday from 5th September, this is when we will need someone to join our family and assist with childcare. I am half English/French and our main spoken language in our family is English. Barbara is Hungarian and has lived in the UK for 10 years. I am an IT analyst for a multi-national health and beauty company and Barbara is a social worker for the local authority. We would welcome an enthusiastic and energetic person, who is also open minded, flexible and polite to match our own family characteristics. We live in a lovely area on the edge of Nottingham which is a vibrant city and the home of Robin Hood! There is also a beautiful country park on our doorstep as well as a couple of stables with horses approx. 800 metres down the road. We live in a new 3 bedroom house, with excellent energy ratings, so you will not get cold in the winter! We will also have a private bedroom for you with ensuite bathroom and the bedroom will be equipped with a single bed, 3 seater sofa with bed, wardrobe, facilities to study, internet access (fibre optic), books, games, TV and DVD player. There is also a collection of approx. 350 DVD's and Blu-Ray's.
We require you to pick Audrey up from the pre-school at 11.40am Monday to Friday, that is only a few hundred metres (2 minutes) walk away from our house. You will then need to prepare and offer her lunch and encourage her to have an early afternoon nap. Following this, we simply need you to have fun with Audrey which you can do in many different ways, within our home or the local playground, or park. Some days you will need to take her on the bus or tram to a leisure centre where she will participate in a variety of sports lessons and other activities. The leisure centre has many different health facilities including tennis, gym, swimming pool, spa and sauna and you will be able to use these while Audrey is attending her lessons. Following her afternoon activities, you will need to prepare and offer some snacks, by which time soon after myself and my partner will return home, which is at 4.30pm . After this time, you are free until the following morning. We will not expect you to work at weekends or bank holidays when we're not working. In addition to the childcare which is 25 hours/week, we would also like you to do 1 hour of light house cleaning during the week. Also, we would ask you to babysit for Audrey one evening a week for 4 hours while we go out of the house (Audrey is usually asleep around 8pm). There are 2 main colleges in Nottingham for language studies and we can help you to get in touch with these if they are of interest. We will pay £90 pocket money a week and will also cover your bus/tram pass. We would also like you to know that we will provide you with a written offer with a description of what help would be expected and we will respect whatever we agree with you. Pocket money will be paid during your holiday time and your holiday entitlement will be agreed depending on how long you will stay with us. Your leisure time will be respected!
