We are a relaxed family with two sons (10 and 1 year old in June) looking for a female Au Pair to join us from June. We live in Basingstoke which is 40 minutes on the train to London. Our two sons are energetic and at a fairly demanding age, but they are great fun and real characters. Mum leaves the house early for work and comes back home early enough to spend quality time with the kids. Our elder son does lots of after school activities both at home and in school. Dad also goes to work during the day.
We are looking for an energetic and fun an au pair who is patient and kind and who genuinely loves spending time with children and watching them develop. Mum leaves for work early (before 7 am and back before 5pm), so you will be required to take charge of the kids from 6:30 am and prepare the elder child to be at school by 8:30 am and help with breakfast. The school is 2 minutes work from the house. You will look after laundry, light cooking and tidying up for the kids. Our youngest son attends a full day nursery once in a week. You will need to be flexible with working hours. There will be organised clubs you will need to take our 10 years old to for example swimming, football, boys brigade if need be. Occasionally, you will prepare light evening meal for the kids and help get the kids ready for bed. There will also be homework, for you to assist and support with our elder child if required. We do expect you to practice keeping a firm and managing hand with our children. In return, we will offer up to £100/week, a quiet room with WIFI and TV, share of family bath/shower room. You are free to eat from the fridge and the house, or have your own food budget if it suits you better.
