I am a professional working single mother with 2 children. My daughter is 12 years old and my son is 6 years old. They are very sweet, well-behaved and engaging children. They like routine and are well settled. We live in central London in a lovely large house with garden and next to a big park. I am looking for someone who is responsible, mature and independent - the person needs to be able to entertain themselves/do their own thing when not looking after the children. We need someone who will stay for 12 months or more.
The usual hours (with flexibility absolutely required) are: Monday to Friday with the standard day comprising: - taking my 6 year old to school by bus, picking him up after school - getting the children dinner (you MUST be able to cook!) - children's washing & ironing - cleaning/tidying the children's rooms and bathroom - light domestic chores (eg. empty bins, load/empty dishwasher, light shopping). The average hours the current au pair works is 25 hours - some weeks less, some weeks more. You would need to be able to look after the children full-time during ALL school holidays. Two nights babysitting per week.
