My husband and I are doctors and we have 3 delightful children - the eldest - a boy who is 9 years old (soon will be 10), the next a girl who is 5 years old and the youngest also a girl who is 4 years old. We are committed Christians and are originally of Indian origin but we are British citizens, and settled in the United Kingdom. We live near the historic old town of Cambridge which is famous for its 800 year old university. We live in a village called Bar Hill just 9 miles from Cambridge town. We have a bus stop at the top of our street with buses to Cambridge every 20 minutes. The older 2 children go to school and the youngest goes to nursery all within the same area which is just 10 minutes walk from our house. There is a large supermarket, clothing shops and coffee shops all within 10 minutes walk from our house.
Your role will be to wake the children up every morning by 7am, give them breakfast, get them ready and take them to school. Then you are free till 3pm when you have to pick them up, give them snacks, give the youngest one a shower (the other 2 do it themselves), encourage them to do their homework or play games with them, then give them dinner by 6pm and get them ready for bed. There will be some light housework to do, such as cleaning and ironing. For this we will give you free food, free accomodation in your own room, free internet access with wifi and extra pocket money per week. You will not be expected to work on most weekends except if either my husband or I are working or away. We are quite easy- going and all our previous au pairs have been happy and left only at the end of their contract or due to family emergencies. The children are generally very well behaved and love reading and playing in the garden. On weekends you can go and explore Cambridge town or go to London, which is only 45 minutes away by train from Cambridge. We need someone to start at least by end of May
