We are a happy, lively family living in Greater London (New Southgate) Mum (40) Shimon (7) & Kaia (5). Our home would suit a person who is looking to improve their English and to take on the experiences that London has to offer. You will also get a lot of experience with children! Mum work for the Institute of Fundraising, Shimon and Kaia go to school and have after school activities. We are warm, friendly and like to think fun, we live a very busy life, are often out and would suit an au pair that it is open and warm but also very independent and outgoing. We are very supportive and will do our best to make you feel welcome and to settle in.
Expectations We expect our au pair to - Help get the children ready in the mornings - Walk to school - Pick children from school at 3.30 and entertain until I am back 7.00pm(usually by 6.15pm) - duties will include playing, making sure they change clothes, doing polish homework, taking them to activities etc. - possibly two evenings a week babysitting (this does not happen every week) - once a week cleaning the house - keeping the children's room tidy (they are expected to make their beds, put away their toys etc) -half terms - work will vary - weekends free (unless exceptional circumstances), at least four weeks paid holidays (taken at the times determined by us), possibly 6+ The au pair MUST: - be responsible, pro-active and mature - be honest and communicative. - be organised and punctual - be clean and tidy - have some experience with children and housework - be fun, energetic and sociable! - LOVE children, be patient, affectionate but also able to discipline. - Flexible and hardworking - able to cook basic meals and will eat anything. We don’t expect you to have perfect English but we would like you to make every effort to learn. We will help you with this as much as we can. We don’t expect you to cook regularly, but we like food and we would be very happy for you to prepare something traditional for us to try! You will have most of the day free for study and leisure and usually from around 6.30-7pm (some days I am back at 5.30). Weekends are free with a rare possible babysitting falling on weekend. Pocket money will be £125 per week, your own room and wifi.
