We are looking for an Au Pair who will help us to take care of our 2 children in the afternoons while we are at work. Our daughter is 7 years old and attends school and son will be 2 years old in March - he is in the day nursery. We are multicultural family – I am Polish and my husband is Indian. We have lived in UK for more than 10 years. We both work full time. I am an Events Coordinator in conference venue and my husband is a Revenue Manager in Central London. We live in Hemel Hempstead which is a town located 30 minutes from London, easy accessible by train and bus. The town has got lots of parks, college, shops and is surrounded by beautiful countryside on each side. We live in a 3 bedroom terraced house with garden in a quiet neighbourhood close to the bus stop and local shops. We speak English at home but it would be an advantage for our kids to learn another language so you are welcome to try to teach them your own language. We are looking for someone who will become a part of our family. You will be very important to children as they relatives live far away and only come to visit occasionally. Even though you will have free weekends you can always join us for family outings if you wish so.
They would need to be picked up from school/nursery at 3.00 pm, have they dinner prepared and taken care of till I arrive from work at 6.00 pm. Light house work might also be needed such as vacuuming, dusting and laundry. We do not require evening or weekend help. Occasional full day babysitting might be needed if children are not well and would not be able to go to school/nursery. That will be given back in additional holidays. As you will have free mornings too we will be happy to help arrange any training/ classes for you in a local college. We are looking for someone who is mature, responsible and punctual as you would need to pick up children on time. Cooking skills might come handy in preparing the meals for kids although they are not quite demanding. It would be also very helpful if you can drive as the nursery is around 20- 25 minutes walk from home. We can provide a car.
