We are a professional and easy going family in our mid 30's with one three year old boy called Lenny and a second child due in February. We live in Manchester but originally we are from Hertfordshire just north of London so we visit there a lot. Our au pair is more than welcome to travel with us when we visit. We like to have lots of fun and enjoy socialising. We have lots of visitors and we also visit friends and family a lot so quite often we are away at weekends. Our 3 year old son Lenny attends a local school full time. We leave the house at 7.30am and our au pair will be responsible for getting Lenny ready in the mornings Monday to Friday and take him to school. He finishes school at 14.50 so needs collecting from school daily Monday to Friday and he will be looked after until we return from work between 17.30 and 1800. We like to eat dinner as a family so our au pair is not required to do much cooking unless you want to of course. We want our au Pair to be part of the family and feel comfortable treating our house as their own. In February we will have a second child. I plan on returning to work after 3 months. Once I return to work then as well as Lenny to look after there will also be the baby who will need feeding and changing etc while we are not there during the day. This is something that we will get used to together and we will help each other however it is probably better if you a confident with babies. On the odd occasion we may ask for additional baby sitting this is no more than once a month and we pay extra for this.
