Dear Au Pair We are a bilingual (English/German) family with three children and live in Kingston-upon-Thames, a market town on the outskirts of London. We have had two (much loved) Au Pairs in the last two years and are now looking to welcome a new one into our family home to help look after the children whilst we are at work. We are looking for someone who is willing to work four days a week, for a total of 34-38 hours per week (Tuesday to Fridays). Mondays, Saturdays and Sundays are free. Our youngest child Henry is 17 months old. Given this, we are looking for someone with some experience of looking after toddlers. We live in a four bedroom house and you will have your own bedroom with en-suite bathroom. You will have internet access as well as full use of the communal downstairs areas. Your duties will be looking after the children and light housework whilst we are at work. Specifically your duties are to: - prepare breakfast and other meals for the children - clear up after mealtimes including stacking/emptying the dishwasher - once a week to iron the children’s clothes especially the school uniforms - help the the children keep their rooms tidy - make the children’s beds every morning - change the children’s bed linen once a week - bath the children and get children ready for bed - take the children to school / collect the children from school and/or playdates - take the children to the park and playground - plan and organise activities, e.g. arts & crafts, playing boardgames - especially for Henry - if required help Hannah and William with learning to read, write and mathematics change nappies (Henry) - put Henry to bed for his daytime nap The list of duties above is not meant to be exhaustive. Other reasonable duties may arise, as they relate to the children and light housework and we will discuss this with you when necessary. We will require you to babysit for one to two evenings a week.
