Dear Au Pair, we are looking forward to welcoming you into our family! We have had three au pairs and all of them have stayed for a long period of time. We love the experience of having someone from a different culture in our home and getting to know their language, food and personality. We are a musical and friendly family. We have three kids who are all in school during daytime, but mornings and after school until bedtime is the busy times at home. Our daughter loves playing piano, violin, drawing and reading. The boys are very active, playing football and tennis in the garden as often as they can. Our youngest is a really loving little boy who loves to make jokes! The boys also love to play with cars and making up their own games. They don't watch a lot of TV, and prefer to play with each other. I am a piano teacher and mainly teach from home, whilst my husband works in an office in central London. We are looking for a kind, organised, neat, responsible and honest girl to join our family. We would love to get to you better!
Our au pair must be female, at least 21 years old, have reasonable spoken English and be a non-smoker. Previous au-pair experience is not essential (but will be an advantage), but general experience/understanding of children is a must! A driving license is a plus, but not essential. We need approximately 35 hours of help. Weekends will mostly be free time, unless we need you for babysitting on the odd occasion. You will need to be flexible if necessary. These are a rough idea of the duties: Looking after our children whilst I teach piano from home. Preparing and/or helping at meal times. Playing with our children. Helping with homework. Bathing the kids. Taking and collecting the kids from school on some days. Reading with our children. Helping with general housework, such as laundry, ironing, cleaning and tidying. Taking the kids to activities after school when needed. We live in a lovely home with a large garden in New Malden, South West London. The New Malden has excellent transport links to London Waterloo (22 minutes by train) and there are great bus routes too. The high street has two affordable gyms with swimming pools and offers great shopping, pubs and restaurants. There are several language schools nearby that offer English courses. Wimbledon and Kingston is a short bus ride away. Our au pair will have a lovely spacious bedroom of their own as well as access to wireless broadband, and a bathroom with a shower. Pocket money is £100 per week and we will provide your food. We are asking for at least a one year commitment (but preferably longer).
