We are a Danish/Portuguese family living in Cheam/Sutton with our 10 year old daughter and dog and we are looking for our new au-pair, to start in September. Your first task of the day is to prepare juices/breakfast to be ready for the three of us and yourself at 6.45am. Mimi wakes up at 6am and she takes care of herself and also she tidies up her own room too. You just need to make sure she does her daily routine. After breakfast, it's tidy up time for you in the kitchen after breakfast. After the kitchen is done it's time for what we call the "One hour daily clean". This is mainly a quick tidy and cleaning of the house on a daily basis. Things like making our bed, quick clean of the surfaces in the bathrooms and a general check of the house. After this, there is usually some laundry to be done every other day. You just need to wash, put it to dry and fold it when it's dried. No ironing needed in this house. When that is done, around 9 to 10am, you will have pretty much all the time as free time until it is time to collect Mimi from School (2.30pm) to do whatever you want for 5 days a week. After you pick up Mimi from School, either you come home with her or you will go with her to her weekly activities such as Ballet, swimming, karate, etc. You both go by bus and return by bus. These are short trips around town. In the evening, you will have dinner preparation and we usually have dinner around 7.30pm. After dinner, you have some minor tidying up to do in the kitchen and then your duties for the day are done. Some au pairs, on some days would go and meet friends in the evening for a short time
