If you are looking for a Scottish adventure then look no further. Stunning countryside on your doorstep (Cairngorms National Park), easy access to the Highlands or the bright lights of the city of Aberdeen or a short bus journey to Edinburgh for the weekend. Active family. . . .. We love to see new places and explore Scotland, especially the Cairngorms when it is Ski / Snowboarding season. The kids love to be outside, but also love their xbox (Mine craft they love very much). My son loves football so if you can play football that would be great for him. The 3 children play very well together and can be quite independent for young children, which we encourage. We are open and relaxed, but quite strict on behavior and manors, which I believe are very important.
What do we expect from your au pair? Honesty...this is very important to us. Cleanliness....we work long hours some days, so it is important for you to keep the childrens mess under control. Good Driver (if you want to use the car - not essential) ... with the job comes your own car which can be used for private and to drive children to activities. You must have a clean license with no accidents in the last 5 years. None smoker ....sorry no smokers.(VERY IMPORTANT TO US) English level .... a good level of spoken English, you are looking after young children so if your English is very very basic we are not the family for you. List of housework tasks: • Washing dishes, including loading and unloading dishwasher • Preparing simple meals for children • Keeping kitchen tidy and clean when used for children, including sweeping and mopping floors • Loading and unloading laundry into washing machine for childrens clothing • Ironing for children • Putting washed clothes away for children • Vacuuming (living areas that children use) • Dusting (living areas that children use) • Making and changing children’s beds • Encouraging children to keeping their own room/bathroom clean and tidy and assist them in this.
