Dear Au Pair, We are the Marshall family. I am Kate, my partner is Adam and our two sons are called Tom and Ben. Tom is 9 and Ben is 7 years old. Our children are fun loving, happy and well behaved boys. We live in Farnham in Surrey in a four bedroom house. Farnham is a lovely town with good local shopping, a sports centre, parks, cafés and restaurants. Farnham is also close to the city of Guildford which has more to offer in the way of shopping and nightlife. Farnham is on the direct train link into London and the journey takes 1 hour. We live in a quiet road with a lovely garden. From our house you can easily walk to to the school (15 minutes), the train station (15-20 minutes) and into Farnham town centre (25 minutes). We understand that you will probably want to study English and we will help you enrol at Farnham Language College which is also a 15 minute walk from our house. We are looking for an au pair to help us look after Tom and Ben before and after school and to take care of them until we get home from work. We would also like a little help with some of the chores around the house. We are looking for someone kind and fun and with lots of energy! You will have a lovely bedroom and your bathroom will be shared with the children. You can have friends over in the evening and You will also have free Wi-Fi access.
We will pay £100 a week for 35 hours and up to two nights of babysitting per week, but not usually on a Friday and a Saturday in the same weekend. Extra hours will be required during school holidays and may also be required at other times. We will pay extra for these. We need help with keeping the house clean and tidy and doing all our washing and ironing. (You will not be required to drive.) We are looking for someone who can cook, clean, iron, help with homework and who loves children. Someone who will be fun, kind and patient with our 2 boys. Mostly we are looking for someone who is happy to fit in and help with our busy family life and be part of the family and another special person in Tom and Ben’s lives. Typical Week – 35 hours 7.15am – 8.45am Put washing on Empty dishwasher Make packed lunches Give children breakfast Help children brush teeth Walk to school 3.30pm – 7.30pm Collect children from school and walk home Give the children a snack, play games Help with homework Cook tea Bath, brush teeth, story and bed Additional 7.5 hours each week for cleaning, ironing, cooking, tidying etc 2 nights babysitting 3 Weeks paid holiday 2 Weeks unpaid holiday Happy to discuss.
