We are a small family of three. Dad is Swedish, Mum is Maltese and we have a 4 month old son. We enjoy walks in the park, meeting and entertaining friends and family, good food, TV nights, reading and travelling. We love living in Clapham, South West London. The area has great parks, lovely shops and lots of things to do for both adults and young children. Both parents work full time and our little boy will be going to full time nursery in the local area. He enjoys being out and about and is generally a very bubbly and smiley little boy. We are looking for a Swedish-speakingau pair to join our small family from November 2014 (although there is some flexibility on this date). We are looking for someone trustworthy and responsible, who genuinely loves children. Childcare experience / qualifications would be considered favourably as childcare requirements will include taking care of a baby when he's not in nursery. Our little boy, who will be in full-time nursery, will be around 8 months when you will join our family. Importantly, we are looking for good chemistry between us and you. We are looking to welcome you into our family but would also like you to be willing to spend your free time more independently. We live in a 3 bedroom house and your lovely room will occupy the top floor and comes with an en-suite bathroom, TV, desk and wifi. We are looking for someone who can and wants to stay for 12 months or more. If you think this is you, we look forward to hearing from you
The core duties we require for our au pair would be to: - get our little boy ready for nursery in the morning. Drop off at nursery between 8-830am - pick up from nursery at around 5pm and take care of our little son until parents get home from work (this will possibly include bath time and putting baby to sleep) - on occasion, take care of our little boy full time whilst parents are at work however this will be in exceptional circumstances only - Some night babysitting during week and weekends - cooking duties for our little boy (we have a fantastic machine called Thermomix that makes this very easy) - light housework (we will still have a cleaner). Examples would include loading and unloading dishwasher, laundry (not ironing), preparing table for dinner and keeping the house tidy - help with running small errands (eg collecting parcels from post office) - if you like cooking, we would welcome you to help us prepare the family meals
