I'm a single mother of two school-aged children ages seven and eight. Their school is just down the street from our home, and I work one block away. My girls are very open, friendly and enjoy others, so I thought it'd be a fun way of childcare to have someone living in our home to experience not just a few hours of when we need help, but our lives with us. Their father and I share 50/50 custody, so the girls are only here every other week. That means you'll have lots of free time on the off weeks - oftentimes, with use of the car if you'd like ... And Seattle is just one hour away :) Also of note: we attend church on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings, but there is no expectation that you come with us. I prefer no "baby talk," and am careful with the language that is used around the girls, i.e. no bad words. When I was 19, my family welcomed a Japanese exchange student into our family for nearly three years. That experience opened my mind to the idea of sharing cultures and lives together. We hope to find a good fit of someone who can enrich our lives and in turn we hope to enrich yours <3
I'm looking for someone to help ready the kids for school in the morning, and be at home for when they arrive after school. Help with homework is a bonus :) There are lots of great kids in our neighborhood, so play dates are common. I need someone who is comfortable driving around town, because the girls have soccer practice a couple nights a week; I have a car available for use.
