We have a young outlook on life and enjoy various activities including reading, going to the cinema or enjoying outdoors weather permitting including playing badminton in the garden on the weekends. We are looking for an au pair who can blend in with a fairly relaxed home and become a 'member of the family'. We are keen for our au pair to enjoy her stay with us, join in with our activities where possible, while looking after our son as well as tidying up. We have a hectic life style and will need someone loving, respectful, responsible and reliable. This is a living-in position and you will be doing around 25 hrs a week but with the weekend off. We live in a ground floor maisonette. There is only one bathroom (so this would suit someone who is not shy). I am divorced.
The role of our au pair will primarily involve looking after our 5 year old son. Our son attends reception school for most of the day Monday to Friday from 8.25am to 3.15pm. So it is important to get him ready for school and to collect him until I arrive home from work in the evening. The au pair will be expected to participate in household chores also, eg weekly cleaning and laundry; daily tidying and cooking etc. We would like our au pair to feel comfortable and happy within our home. But we have strict rules about no visitors and also we don't take smokers regrettably.
