We are looking forward to welcoming a responsible au pair with some childcare experience in to our family from late August or early September. We have had three au pairs over the last 2.5 years and have had a good time with them. We are a multi-cultural, English speaking family with two boys aged 5 and 7. Both kids enjoy being active and like tennis, cycling, swimming and playing in parks. We live in Pinner, which is about 25 minutes by tube from Baker street. This is a quiet and green neighbourhood with easy access to parks, gym, swimming pool and cycle trails. There are also english language schools nearby (in case you are interested) with both day time and evening courses.
We are looking for someone mature, responsible and genuinely interested in spending time with children. Ideally you would have some experience with children and enjoy being around them. You would be a confident driver as you would be driving kids to school and after school activities. For the safety of everyone involved we would of course give you some training to drive on the left. A typical weekday would start with helping the kids in the morning and dropping them off to school in the morning (07:30 - 08:45). You would then be needed to pick them up in the evening from school at 15:15 and look after them till one of us comes back from work ( between 6 p.m and 7:30 p.m depending on the day) You would also need to help us by - babysitting up to two evenings a week - looking after kids during school holidays as needed ( extra hours beyond reasonable limits would be with prior agreement and additional pocket money). - doing some light house work and tidying up In return we would provide you - Large bedroom with double bed, sofa/futon (which could become a double bed if you have friends visiting) , working table and chair - Weekends off (occasional weekend work with prior agreement) - Bathroom for exclusive use (to be shared by guests, if any) - Wifi, TV and Computer access - Use of second family car when not needed by us. - Pocket money negotiable for the right candidate You would be treated as part of the family and would expect you to treat us the same way. We are flexible with the arrangements and are happy to accommodate your needs and expect similar level of flexibility from you in return.
