We are a typically English family of four living in Battersea, London. Father, Chris, Mother, Laura and our 2 children, Sebastian aged 2.5 and newborn, 2 week old Amber and a 14yr old cat called Julie. Chris works in Covent Garden, central London and Laura is a stay at home mother. We live in a traditional but recently modernised Victorian terraced house in Battersea, SW11. We have Clapham Junction train station 15 min walk away with very regular trains (15mins) and buses to central London (Waterloo). Chris is self employed and works in Central London 5 days a week while I am at home with the children. A typical day would start with breakfast then an activity or a trip to a local park or a bit of local shopping. We would try to get back home for Sebastians nap around 12.30-1.00ish. After Seb's nap time we would try for another trip or maybe visit Dad. Seb is a typical little boy. His interests are trains, cars and buses and also loves to read books, count and learn. He really enjoys trips to museums, libraries and playgroups. Chris and myself like a healthy lifestyle and try our best to eat well and keep fit. We have both run a few marathons and I was a proffesional dancer before becoming a mother.
We are looking for a companion to help Laura with the day to day activities with the children. Including classes, park visits, shopping and trips into central London to see Dad. Light housework and an extra hand at meal times and bath times. Mostly helping with Seb as Amber is too young and will be predominantly looked after by me. We would like our au-pair to be part of the family. Joining in with mealtimes and UK based holidays where possible. Probably working around 30-35hrs a week with weekends off. We have a double en suite bedroom with own tv, wardrobe and desk.
