We live in the sea side resort of Torquay, walking distance to the beach. In the summer the town is very lively with lots of water sports and sunshine activities available. People BBQ on the beach and in nearby parks. There are lots of places to cycle and visit nearby, cities such as Exeter and Plymouth. We are 3 hrs from London by train and live close to the train station. Our family has had students staying with us for the last 12 months from all over Europe as they come here to learn English. Therefore our children are accustomed to having new people come to live with them. They are very outgoing and confident and aren't afraid to express themselves. My husband and I very much look forward to meeting someone who will work well with our family. Someone who is happy to get stuck in to family life, play games with the children, understand how to help them when they are having disagreements, love them and comfort them when we are not here to do so. Mainly, we are a very busy family and we need someone who is happy to be flexible and help out as and when needed.
We are looking for a happy, independent Au Pair who wants to get to know English culture and join our family. As well as our gorgeous girls we have 2 dogs, one is 9 years old and one is 11 months old. The puppy is a handful and both dogs will need to be walked by the Au Pair twice a day. We also have a cat but she stays in the house and is now 15 years old! We need a car driver with experience because you will be taking the girls to school and picking them up. They are lots of fun with big personalities so we need someone loving but strong too, someone who knows how to understand children's needs and wants but also sets boundaries. My girls love sports and go to many activities so you will also be taking them there. All the children are at school from 9-3 each day so once you have dropped them off, walked the dogs and done some light cleaning the day is yours. There will be some hoovering and light cooking involved. We have a large garden that you can sit and relax in or sunbathe in and we live in a flat area of Torquay (which is unusual as it is built on 7 hills) so it is easy to walk into town or get a bus. You will be free most evenings. I have evening meetings about once a month that you will need to babysit for and go out with my husband about once a week so you will be asked to babysit for those times too.
