Personal introduction

I am currently a student and will be graduating from upper secondary school in June 2026 here in Finland. After that, I am planning to spend my gap year as an au pair in a new country. I want to become an au pair because it would give me the opportunity to improve my English skills while living in a completely new environment and experiencing a different culture. I see this as a meaningful and exciting way to spend my gap year. I genuinely enjoy spending time with children and taking care of them. I find working with children rewarding, and I like being someone they can feel safe and comfortable with. Being an au pair would allow me to combine my interest in childcare with my desire to grow personally, become more independent, and improve my language skills.
