Personal introduction

Dear Sir or Madam, My name is Daphine, I am 25 years old, and I am from Uganda. I am writing to apply for an Au Pair position. I am a hardworking, positive, and family-oriented person with a strong interest in childcare and cultural exchange. I am motivated to become an Au Pair because I enjoy caring for children and supporting families in their daily routines. I also wish to learn about Dutch culture and further develop my language and personal skills during my stay. I have practical childcare experience through helping to raise my sisters’ babies. My responsibilities included babysitting, feeding the children, bathing them, putting them to sleep, and engaging them in age-appropriate play activities. Through this experience, I have developed patience, responsibility, and a strong awareness of children’s safety and well-being. In addition, I am able to cook and prepare simple, healthy meals for children. I am also willing to assist with light household duties related to childcare, such as tidying children’s rooms, washing their clothes, and keeping play areas clean and organized. As a family-oriented person, I value respect, cooperation, and clear communication. I am adaptable and willing to follow the rules and routines of my host family. I believe I would be a reliable and supportive addition to a host family.
