Personal introduction
I want to become an au pair because I truly enjoy spending time with children and being part of their daily lives. I have always loved their energy, curiosity and imagination, and I find it very rewarding to help them grow, learn and feel supported. Having already taken care of my cousins, from ages 1 to 11, I discovered that childcare is something I genuinely enjoy and feel confident doing.
Becoming an au pair is also the perfect opportunity for me to improve my English through full immersion and to discover a new culture from the inside. I want to learn, explore and broaden my horizons during my gap year, and living with a host family is the best way to do this while contributing meaningfully.
I see the au pair experience as a chance to grow as a person: to become more independent, responsible, flexible and open-minded. I love the idea of joining a family as a “big sister,” building a real bond with the children, and creating a trusting, warm relationship with the parents.
Overall, I want to become an au pair because it brings together everything I value: learning, cultural exchange, responsibility, and the joy of caring for children in a positive and supportive environment.
