Dear Host Family, I'm Jade, a 21-year-old passionate about cross-cultural exchange, caregiving, and building meaningful connections. For the past two years, I've lived and studied in China most recently in Hong Kong and now I'm eager to embark on a new adventure as an Au Pair and engage in home sharing with the elderly abroad. I want to become an Au Pair and share a home with the elderly because I thrive on nurturing others and learning from diverse life experiences. Working with children brings me immense joy (I love their curiosity and energy!), and supporting older adults allows me to honor their wisdom and stories. This role also lets me immerse myself in a new culture, improve my language skills, and grow both personally and professionally. My 1.5 years as a teacher in China honed my communication skills, patience, and ability to adapt to different personalities traits that make me excellent at connecting with both kids and seniors.
