The idea of blending in a family, a new culture, and a new country appeals to me very much. Plus, wishing to become a teacher-researcher in neuroscience, I think that being an au-pair has its full meaning, in the way that I want to do a job in which contact with students/ children/ teenagers is really important. I would like to be an au-pair in an English-speaking country to improve my English — I would like to take a few hours of English lessons each week in addition to my au-pair status —, but also for the human experience of being an au-pair.
