Dear au pair, We are the Chapman-Hall family, Keith, Sam, (both late 30s) Keston (boy aged 6) and Milly (girl aged 20 months) and our puppy Bulldog, Belle Our son has High Functioning Autism and Sensory Processing Disorder. He attends a small primary school with a 1:1 teacher. I am a stay at home mum but hoping to go back to work part time locally in the next few months. We live just outside a small town called Tonbridge in Kent, South East England. There are several cafes, bars, shops, a college and adult learning centre and a big park in the town. A mainline rail station with good links to seaside towns and London and we are on a good bus route to the towns. We are a busy family who are looking to invite an au pair to come and stay with us, join in with us as much or as little as you like and bring some energy and a good vibe with you. Our children are beautiful but Keston can get tiring due to his anxiety being high and him not understanding himself very well. This means some days every day chores get left behind and the family trips can end up being really hard work. An extra pair of hands would be welcome at times.
We would like an au pair to help with light housework, take Keston to school and collect him, take him swimming occasionally after school and cook for the children. Help the children keep their room tidy and teach us all about your culture. We would require help some evenings getting the children bathed and into bed, homework and reading support, and the children looked after on the occasional Saturday so Keith and I can get a break together too. Babysitting once a week so we can go for dinner. We can discuss and agree timetable before hand. Initially we would look for 3-6 months, possibly longer. There are a couple of nearby places for language schools or learning courses. You will have your own room. We are carrying out building works at the moment and will be selling our current home to move somewhere nearer to the school but still within easy access to the town either by bus or car. We would like you to be part of our family life as much as you like or as little as you like. We can provide a car. During the summer holidays we go out for lots of adventures and picnics and go to see my sister in Wales. We look forward to hearing from you!
