Personal introduction

* CENTRAL LONDON (Zone 2) AUPAIR REQUIRED* Hi Girls, We require a 'Live-in Aupair ' in Archway, London (Zone 2 on the Northern line, 3 stops from Camden (6 mins), 5 stops from Kings cross (10 mins), 16 mins to the world famous Leicester Square (so fairly central), for our two boys aged 3 and 6. We are only looking for Female Aupair's who are willing to commit for a 'minimum period' of 12 months to ensure we maintain stability for the children. Maintaining the routine for the children is very important to us, especially on school nights, as it means we can all function in a smooth and structured way. **PLEASE ALSO NOTE THE BELOW 'TERM TIME' SCHEDULE WILL VARY FROM HALF TERM HOLIDAYS UNTIL THE KIDS RETURN BACK TO SCHOOL. THE KIDS WILL BE HOME BASED OR ON CAMPS ETC..SO FLEXIBILITY IS KEY DURING THE SCHOOL HOLIDAY PERIODS **. If you're the right fit for our family, I will happily put you in touch with our previous Spanish Aupair as a reference point, so you can actually get an Aupairs perspective of our family and a view of their own personal experience prior to making a decision - as all parties need to be comfortable before committing to this journey. We would be willing to pay pocket money of £100 per week. -As an additional discretionary 'bonus' (to help you save money), you would also receive unlimited free 'EVENING WEEKDAY' and unlimited 'ALL WEEKEND' London Underground travel paid for (ZONES 1 & 2 only - which is equivalent to around £32 per week and will be of significant value to you).

The Au pair's job

Aupair's primary roles will be: 1) Looking after our 3 year old for the entire full working day on Monday's & Friday's whilst we are at work; (he attends nursery for three full days (Tues/Wed/Thurs only). Incase of the either child being unwell, you would need to be on call to prioritize them to ensure they are cared for. - We would drop off and pick up the 3 year old from nursery. 2) Collecting our 6 year old son from School at 3.30pm Monday to Friday (or slightly later on certain days depending on his after school activities). - School pickups are only needed for the 6 year old (via bus or over ground train). Travel for pick up will be paid for. You would need to take the 3 year old with you for collection of the 6 year old on Mondays & Fridays. We have a buggy with a buggy board for the 6 year old to stand on, so is fairly easy to travel around. The bus journey & collection is direct (no bus changes required & to be fair - quite easy); the bus journey takes around 20 minutes and then it is a 2-3 minute walk to the school from the bus stop. - The 6 year old has swimming club on Wednesday after school (close to his school), so you would need to collect him from school, take him swimming, get him dry etc (and then come home on the bus). 3) General family household ironing (which includes all clothes and bed sheets etc - but as it's a super steam iron), putting the household laundry into the washing machine and out to dry; and cooking (cooking for the kids only); we have a cleaner who comes once a week to clean the house. We just expect items to be put away after use and to ensure that general cleanliness is maintained throughout the house. You will need to have a flexible and positive approach to life; we would need your help Monday-Friday only. The weekends would be your own free time to enjoy and do as you wish. We do not have a pet and we are a non-smoking household and you need to be a complete non-smoker as well. We will make sure that you are part of the family and provide you with all the help and support you need. We are looking for someone energetic, who speaks basic/good English and can stay with us ideally for a minimum 9-12 months). **Additional information about our family**: We have been living in Archway for the past 4 years after renovating the house to a modern high standard. Archway is pretty centrally located (Zone 2) for us; it is 16 minutes from Archway tube to the famous Leicester Square direct on the Northern line. We live about 10 minutes walk to the tube station; there are plenty of buses that also operate into central London. We are looking for the right fit Aupair to come into our lives and that of our children more importantly (as they are the primary concern). We have lots of extended family being of Indian origin, so we have a great support network; we are great believers in learning and making the most of life, trying to gain new exposure and experiences for the children. Whoever we decide to offer this position to will be accepted and treated like a member of our family, and can treat the house as if was their own (and we expect them to treat it with the same respect and care).
