We have a daughter who is 3 and who now attends a local school for three days a week. She is a real live-wire who likes to sing and dance and ask a million questions. We are a close family and would like an au pair to feel part of that family. We both have professional careers and work hard but like to play sport and have fun as well. We live in a very nice house in Spencers Wood which is just south of Reading. The house backs onto farm land and has a modest rear garden with decking, a sandpit and a large trampoline. Reading is nearby and has good shopping, restaurants, night-life and a fast train to London. Our daughter is very demanding and often wakes by 6:30am wanting to play. She goes to bed around 7pm after a 'Dance Party' in her bedroom and a bath. On non-school days the day is more flexible and relaxed, but on the three school days it is a rush to get to school by 8:15am even though the school is less than 5 miles away.
We would like a close relationship with mutual trust and respect. We want to share the housework and looking after Verity with our new au pair in a fair way so we're all happy. We need help with: - Breakfast, dressing and school drop-off by 8:15am. - School pick-up around 4pm. - Preparing her evening meal around 5:30pm. - Sharing the general housework with us (as a team). In return: - We are pragmatic and flexible - We want someone to be part of the family. - You will have your own private en-suite bathroom with shower. - You will be made to feel at home. - We will assist with English language attainment and education in general. - There are good places to learn English nearby.
