We are looking for a kind, caring and completely trustworthy au pair who has a mature attitude and experience looking after young children. We'll need an au pair from late April 2017. We are looking for someone who can take our eldest son to school and pick him up in the afternoon, and look after the younger children during the day. The work will also involve cooking meals for the children and some light housework such as laundry and keeping the kitchen tidy. You won't need to work weekends, plus there's one other day off each week while the younger children go to nursery, and you can also take time each week to attend an English language course if needed. Ideally we would like to find an au pair who can stay with us for at least a year, possibly longer, but we'll consider shorter stays as well. We're a calm, friendly family and we really look forward to welcoming a new person into our home, with new experiences and ideas to share. My husband and I are quiet people who enjoy spending time with friends and family who live nearby. We also enjoy cooking (my husband usually cooks the evening meals, while I bake bread, biscuits and cakes). My husband is also a keen gardener. When we both work full-time there isn't much free time, but when we can we like to go on family walks, for pub lunches, and occasionally on trips to the beach. We are lucky to live in Devon, which has some beautiful countryside and beaches. At work, I am a town planner and my husband is a chemist. I'm interested in archaeology, history, architecture, art and conservation. My husband is interested in scie
The job involves school drop-off and pick-up, and care for the younger two children during the day, including preparing meals. You can choose whether you want to eat your evening meal with the children or later with us. It would be a great help if you could do some light housework during the day, such as keeping the kitchen tidy, laundry, cleaning bathrooms and occasional vacuuming. As the job involves the care of very young children, I am looking for an au pair who has previous experience working in childcare. I work from home so will be available most of the time, and the children's grandparents may be able to help sometimes as well. The youngest two children will also attend a local nursery one day per week, giving you free time to do other things. We won't require you to do any work during weekends, and you could also take some time during the week to attend an English language course or other activities of your own. If you came to work for us, you would be treated as an equal, and part of our family.
