Hi We are an energetic family living in Milton Keynes, a wonderful city! I (Paul) am an Interior Designer, working on bars & restaurants, my partner (Justine) is head of marketing for a software company. Between us we have 5 boys, but you will only need to look after Justine's youngest, Owen. Owen (11) is a mini-genius! He is a talented mathematician and advanced reader. When he doesn't have his head in a book he enjoys lego and computer games and he likes to be outdoors, hiking and climbing trees. Owen is quick witted and loves telling jokes. We have had 10 au pairs to date and everyone of them has fallen in love with him. Justine also has an older son Ciaran (18), who is quite and polite. He likes reading and playing computer games when he is at home and is keen on water-sports, skiing and hiking. He is living away at university, studying animation. I have 3 sons, Oscar (13), Otis (11) & Art (9). They live with their mum during the week & are with me at weekends. We also have a Labrador puppy who is lots of fun! We are looking for someone who is great with kids & loves dogs. You will need to enjoy cooking (just for owen & yourself), be reliable & proactive. We need somebody who wants to help Owen to develop and take an active part in his upbringing
We require an Au Pair Plus for a minimum of 6 months, to work 5 days, Monday - Friday. With one evening a week babysitting & extra help over school holidays. We pay £100 per week plus accommodation (double bedroom with en suit bathroom, sofa & desk) , all food, use of a bike & unlimited Wifi. A typical day would be as follows: Get Owen ready for school & walk him there with the dog. One hour of light housework. Feed the dog at midday & take him for a walk. Pick up Owen from school, supervise his homework, prepare dinner for him & yourself, do his laundry, spend time with Owen & the dog. We are usually home by 6.30-7pm Typical day is about 5.5hours of work (more during school holidays) You will also get 20 days per year paid holiday (pro rata)
