We are a busy family of two working parents and one child looking for a mature au-pair to join our household. Our 4 year old daughter is bright and intelligent and needs a big sister figure to look after her before and after school. We are seeking a non-smoking female aupair from an EU country. We are looking for an aupair to start March/April 2017. We live in Purley, which is in zone 6 in the south of London with direct trains into the city centre and to Gatwick Airport. It is a lively area with a famous English language school, supermarket, restaurants, shopping all within 5 minutes walk from our house. There is a large shopping complex in Croydon a short bus or train journey away. We live in a big house with a large garden on a quiet road and provide a double room with an attached bathroom which is only for your use. We have no pets.
You will work around 35 hours a week from Monday to Saturday. However, you will have free time from around 10:00 every morning after Abigail goes to school (10 minutes walk) with only some housework. After school finishes at 3:00pm Abigail often attends different activities in the local area. She is interested in sports, dance, music and arts. She goes to bed at 7:30 pm after which you are free again. Being an aupair must be your main job. We offer £100 a week and all food and accommodation. We are looking for someone who can come and live with us for a minimum of 12 - 18 months. Previous aupair experience or training as a teacher/children's carer would be appreciated The working days are Monday to Saturday with a maximum of 2 evenings a week babysitting. The daily timetable is to wakeup Abigail at 7:30 in the morning and organise the morning activities to get her ready and take her to school. Then pick up Abigail from school at the end of the school day (3:00pm) and take her to any after school activities. In the evening you will need to supervise Abigail's homework, cook her dinner, bath and then put her to bed. You will need to ensure Abigail's room, clothes, toys and books are all tidy. House work is cleaning the kitchen after breakfast, vaccuming the house once a week (we have cleaners once a week to do all the heavy cleaning), loading - unloading dishwasher, loading washing machine and doing some ironing. You would also assist the family in general jobs like going to the local shops. The advantages of our family include only having one child to look after meaning a there is a large amount of freetime during the day. We provide a double bedroom with wifi etc in a quiet part of the house and we live in a nice area with easy access to London. You will also get 28 days of paid holidays in a year.
