Hello to our future au pair, My name is Jo, my husband is called Fred and we have 2 daughters, Matilda 7 (8 in February) and Amelia 6 (7 is April). We also have a Beagle dog called Poppy who is very much part of the family. We have had au pairs in our family since Matilda was 1 and our current au pair, Pavlina has just left us after 2 years. We live in a beautiful village called Mayfield, East Sussex. It has a population of 4000 and a good selection of shops, cafes and 2 pubs. There is a large town called Tunbridge Wells 20 minutes away on the bus, offering great shops, sports facilities, restaurants etc. London is only 50 minutes away on the train. Fred and I both work, running our own businesses. I have a home furnishing shop in Mayfield and Fred is a business consultant. Matilda and Amelia are both at school every day. We live in a house with 4 bedroom and 2 bathrooms. You will have your own bedroom with a double bed, desk and chair and a sofa bed. There is a tv in your room and wifi. We like our au pair to be part of the family and look forward to offering you a warm welcome.
We want our au pair to have brothers and/or sisters so that you are used to sibling relationships. Your role will be to help get the girls ready for school and walk Poppy every day, I do most of the morning school runs, but you will need to collect the girls 3 or 4 times a week. After school you will help the girls with their homework and give them a light supper. Then start to get them ready for bed until I get home from work. Because you will be driving the girls in our family car you will need to be a good confident driver with a clean driving license. There is housework to do including cleaning and putting food shopping deliveries away.
