We are a busy family with 3 boys and a dog. we live in a beautiful part of Scotland with easy transport links to the North and South. The boys are sporty and enjoy Jiu Jitsu, judo, Rugby, football and water based sports. They are full of energy and like to be on the go but also enjoy downtime watching films, cooking and xbox time too. Me and my husband both work and need support with the boys, dog and housework. We have a large house with plenty of space in and out, you would have a generous room with ensuite, there is broadband wi fi and access to a car for personal use. There is free English tuition available in Edinburgh which is a one hour door to door bus ride, this also offers great opportunities to make friendships with other folks in similar positions. We travel fairly regularly and there would be the opportunity to come alongside us or to take time off when we are away. If part of an aupair couple there is plenty amounts of maintenance and gardening work available.
The Au pair would be expected to be around after school until parents come home (3.15-6pm) two or 3 days per week, 12.15-6pm on a Friday, and usually a whole day on a Saturday, there would also be an expectation to do laundry and cleaning and walk the dog at least 2 mornings per week. The Au pair would be expected to make food or give prepared food to the children, support them with their homework and help to get to and from activities. It would be beneficial to have a driver's licence, access to a car will be available. There will be a requirement to be able to do laundry, and some cleaning, basically be a tidy person, encourage and help the children to clean up after themselves and generally help around the house, play with the dog and if you liked to cook now and again that would be awesome! The timetable would change through school holidays so either agreed full days or over time in addition to the agreed hours would be paid. you must have good English, be active and out going. Be honest, not smoke or drink alcohol when you are working or be attached permanently to your phone when supporting the children. It you are part of an aupair couple we would be happy for the work indoors and outdoors and with the children to be split and you would have the opportuntiy to look for additional work locally so long as it did not impact on our needs
