We are a mixed culture family Brit-Vietnamese so we have part Western and Oriental lifestyle. We are friendly but appreciate privacy. My husband is working fulltime and I'm homemaker at the moment but thinking of going back to work in October. My oldest one in nursery 3 days a week and little one will go 1-2 days a week. We offer a friendly and comfortable home as a part of the family. We live in the centre of the award winning town of Oakham with all amenities within walking distance. You must be genuinely interested in children. You will be highly communicative and energetic and have empathy. We have very high standards so we expect that you do your best in all aspects of this role. If you enjoy sports (such as biking), musical instruments or are artistic, this would be a great bonus. You have to be incredibly organised, very tidy and careful person with high hygiene standards. You will be proactive, rather than passive and waiting for instructions.
Work hours are appoximately 7.00am-11.00am and then 4.30pm – 7 or 7.30pm. With 2 children, you will have to be very organised, with the ability to manage the children when time is of essence. You will be expected to do basic household chores, while children are in school. Overall duties: ? Assisting with getting children ready for school ? School drop-offs and pick-ups ? Keeping children room clean and tidy (this includes teaching them to do most of it themselves) ? Organising clothes (doing laundry not required, only hanging, folding and putting away clothes) ? Ensuring uniforms are ready for next day ? Cooking simple and healthy dinners for children /or family depending on individual arrangements we make ? ironing ? Helping children to get ready for bed ? Keeping house tidy and helping out in household chores (dishwasher, vacum cleaning, washing floor, clearing meal tables, etc.) ? Some babysitting will be required (on average once a week)
