Our family consists of me (a local secondary school teacher) and my husband Jonathan (an Engineer) and our two children Amelia (6 years old) and Felix (5 years old). We also have a cat called Berry. We are often out visiting friends and family. We love being active and exploring the outdoors and having new experiences and fun as a family. The children love anything fun, being outside, camping, visiting theme parks, doing arts and crafts and cooking. They are very friendly and adaptable and love meeting new people, they are excited by travelling and other countries, and so if you are from outside of the UK, they would love to learn all about your home country and language.
We are looking for a mature, confident, caring and fun au pair to take care of our two beautiful children and become part of our family. We love spending time with our children and we need to know they have someone they can trust and have fun with when we are at work. It is important that our au pair is confident around children. We are looking for someone who wants to come to the UK to learn English and enjoy the whole experience of being in a new country. We live in a lovely rural village, yet there are good public transport links to larger towns and cities which have all amenities and numerous places to study English. We would expect our au pair to share the same values as us in putting the safety of our children at the heart of their role, whilst guiding and supporting them to be as happy as they can be, supporting them with learning activities, such as homework/reading/educational games as well as having fun with them and nurturing their personalities. Our au pair would help to get the children ready for school in the mornings, and then pick them up and take care of them at the end of their school day, preparing and cooking dinner for them on some days and helping with housework as necessary, such as cleaning, washing, ironing etc. There is also a playground/park very near by which the children love to go to. We would also like our au pair to babysit on occasion in the evenings. We need someone to start as soon as possible.
