I am a single mum with 2 lovely kids. We live in SE London in a nice and family friendly area with good transport links to central London. We are very friendly and happy and we want someone who is the same.
I will need someone for 30 hours a week. I need someone who is flexible on what days and times they have to work, ideally someone that wants to be part of the family and chip in with bits and pieces rather that someone waiting for me at the door when I get back from work, ready to be out and counting every single minute. These are the recommended BAPAA duties for au pair and some of them I need, some of them I don't: • Washing dishes • Preparing simple meals for children • Keeping kitchen tidy and clean, including sweeping and mopping floors • Loading and unloading laundry into washing machine (no need) • Ironing for children (no need) • Putting washed clothes away • Vacuuming • Dusting • Making and changing children’s beds • Cleaning children’s bathroom • Everything to do with keeping their own room/bathroom clean and tidy • Light shopping (no need) • Walking and feeding pets(no need) • Emptying bins I would hardly ever need you to cook for the kids. I also don’t need ironing or laundry. I am not too fussed about making kids beds either and we don’t have any pets. There won’t be any shopping to do apart for the occasional bread or milk. Key requirements: - flexibility - genuine love to play with the children. VERY IMPORTANT - someone energetic - can work without supervision - can use their initiative - follow directions in the same time - not glued to their phone!!
