My name is Simon and I have two daughters Tilly 10 and Betsy 7. We live in Brighton which is a young exciting city with a beach and countryside and lots of interesting stuff to do. I am looking to find an Au Pair to come and join our family for at least 6 months as the girls will benefit from some stability. I am looking to return to work in September after a few months off as very sadly my beloved wife, the girls Mum, died early this year. We always have been a very loving family with a lot of fun and laughter in the house, and I want that to return. Ideally we want to find someone who really enjoys being with young girls. Tilly and Betsy are not ‘girly’ at all. Tilly is very sporty, and plays tennis and hockey and table tennis. Betsy is creative and artistic, she loves to make and paint and fix and do. They love camping, helping at the allotment, bouncing, cooking cakes, and cycling on our triple tandem. In the evenings we play games, cards, make stuff and occasionally watch a movie together. The TV is rarely on in the house.
We would want our Au pair to help with getting the kids ready for school in the morning, do some laundry, and help keep the kitchen tidy. After school the girls often have clubs or playdates with friends, but if not you’d have to come up with some activities, maybe tennis, art, help with homework even. There may be days when you would have to cook the evening meal for the girls if I was commuting to London, which is 60 mins away. I’d like to ask for a couple of nights babysitting a week too. Weekends are free, but you would be welcome to come with us on any of our adventures. You will have your room at the top of the house in the attic. It’s nice and light. You’d have a computer provided if you wanted for watching TV on. All meals would be shared and I hope that you would become a part of the family while you were here.
