We are a warm, close-knit family of three living in Chengdu. My husband John and I both work in the catering industry, managing several restaurants across China, so we understand the value of hospitality, hard work, and making people feel at home — and that's exactly the kind of environment we want to offer our Au Pair too. Our daughter Angel is the heart of our family — energetic, curious, and full of personality. She loves to sing, dance, put on little "fashion shows," and shoot hoops in her free time. She's independent and knows her own mind, but she's also incredibly caring and respectful toward others. Once she trusts someone, she opens up completely and forms deep, loyal friendships — we think she'll see her Au Pair as a true friend and role model. We're looking for someone who is patient, genuine, and enjoys spending real, quality time with children — not just supervising, but actively engaging, playing, and connecting. Confidence and warmth matter more to us than a perfect resume. Since our main goal is to help Angel improve her spoken English, we'd love someone who is naturally talkative, encouraging, and comfortable turning everyday moments into opportunities to practice language. We also value someone who is open-minded and adaptable — ready to embrace a new culture, try new foods, and become part of our family's routines and adventures, whether that's a weekend hike in Sichuan or a family gathering with relatives. Most importantly, we're hoping to welcome someone who feels less like an employee and more like an extension of our family — someone Angel can look up to, laugh with, and grow alongside.
We're looking for an Au Pair to help our 8-year-old daughter Angel build confidence in speaking English, through everyday conversation, games, and shared activities. The role also involves being a caring, fun companion — like an older sister — spending quality time with Angel, supporting her with light homework, joining her hobbies (singing, dancing, basketball), and occasionally joining family outings around Sichuan province.
