Dear Au pair, We are really keen to have you live with our family and we think over the years we have gained much from the cultural exchange of hosting people from different nations. Our previous nanny was with us for 3 years and our last aupair for almost 18 months. She was a real star and we shall miss her very much. For the sake of our children, and for their stability, our preference is a person willing to stay about 6 months. As our children are young, we do not want to expose them to frequent changes. The most important thing we ask is that anyone who lives with us treats our children with love and care and our home with respect. We also require flexibility and a person who will consider themselves a part of our family not just an aupair. About us We are a Christian family of 4 - black British. Unfortunately my husband and I are quite busy people. I work as a doctor and my husband runs his business. We have 2 children - an adorable 9 year old boy and my most beautiful, articulate 5 year old daughter. Our children mean the world to us. They can be like “cat and mouse” but they are so fond of each other and really cannot do without each other. My son likes his computer games and TV. My daughter loves to watch Disney shows and to play with her toys. She wants to look after animals and children when she grows up. We don't have any pets but my kids have a lot of toys!!! We are keen for our children to be kind and respectful and responsible individuals - we encourage honesty, compassion and give them both little chores within the home. We say in our home - "we all he
On a normal day, we shall require the kids to be prepared for school from 6:30am - bath, dressed and breakfast, then taken to school which is about an hour away on bus. If driving it is about 30 mins and the kids can wake up a little later. School starts 8:20am. They finish school at 3pm and will need to be picked up and brought back home on the bus. On some days they finish later at about 4pm. On return, my children will need their dinner, a shower, and basically kept safe until my husband or I return. I am back home most days by 7pm and on some days earlier. When my husband is not working he does the school run.
