We are Richard and Inga, and are looking in a live-in au pair to start immediately. We are the parents of a 7 year old boy and a 5 year old girl. Richard is a personal trainer and works irregular shift hours. Inga is a business psychologist and travels abroad a lot.
We are looking for a live-in nanny/au pair to start immediately (April 2017). We live in a beautiful barn conversion just south of Edinburgh. It's in the middle of the countryside, which provides lots of fresh air and space, but it is a bit remote, therefore you will need to be happy walking, using public transport, or have your own driving license. We need someone to live in with us, since Richard (father) works irregular shifts and Inga (mother) will be travelling frequently. You will stay in a spacious bedroom suite with private lounge and bathroom attached. Depending on shift patterns, you will work mornings OR afternoons 5 days per weeks (including weekends). The main duties are: Mornings: To get our children ready for school and take them there, and then some light cleaning. (7.30am-12.00pm approx). You'll then have the afternoon and evening free. Afternoons/evening: To pick up children from school, look after them, feed them and put them to bed (2.30pm - 8.00pm approx). You'll have the morning free, but you will need to stay around until Richard's shift finishes at 11.30pm. We need the au pair to work around 30 hours per week (as detailed above). You will have 2 days off per week, which will be agreed at least a week in advance. Our children are bright, lively and curious. We'd like someone who can give them the attention they need, whilst being firm when necessary. You must have a good command of English. We have 2 cats, who are very low maintenance (daily feeding, litter tray cleaning), therefore you must be comfortable with cats. We are willing to pay £100 per week. Living expenses (accommodation, utilities, food, etc) will be covered. If you are interested, please let us know a bit about yourself and your experience, and any questions you have for us.
