We are an international family of 4 and have two lovely children (girl 12 & boy 7). While their first language is English, they both also speak Danish and Czech. We live in Esher; a town located about 20km south west from London. Our town is surrounded by beautiful nature and has lovely parks. Central London is only 25mins by train to London-Waterloo. There are many au-pairs in our area and there is a language school in the centre of town (a walk or a short drive away).
We are very friendly, easy going, open-minded and happy family looking for an outgoing, friendly, caring, responsible, and very well-organised ‘big sister’ for the kids. While there is some light housework (e.g. laundry and light tidying), we do have a cleaner and you won’t be expected to clean the house. One very important thing to be aware of – you need to be a very confident driver, with experience of driving every day for a few years. Both kids are driven to school and driving on the left-hand side of the road is tricky even for an experienced driver. Unless you have been driving every day, you won’t be able to cope. We would like our au pair to stay with us for the full academic year – September through to July. We really do want you to get the most out of your stay with us and we can help you to learn about our culture, gain new experience and explore the life in the UK. We have had a few nannies and au-pairs since the children were little and are still friends with all of them – I would be happy to provide details of our current au-pair to give you a few tips and tricks on how to meet new friends.
