Introduzione personale
My name is Irene, and I’m from Reggio Emilia, a lovely city in northern Italy.
I was born on September 29th, 2006, and I would describe myself as an extroverted, respectful, and highly motivated person. I’ve always loved being around children — ever since I was little, I’ve enjoyed taking care of them and spending time with them. I truly believe that children are kind, curious, and full of energy, and spending time with them always feels meaningful and fun.
I come from a big and loving family. My parents are separated but still maintain a strong and caring bond, which I deeply admire. I have a 16-year-old brother and three wonderful grandparents. My mother’s sister has three children aged 7, 4, and 1, and I often look after them as a babysitter. They’ve taught me so much about patience, creativity, and joy.
After finishing high school with a diploma in Human Sciences from Liceo Matilde di Canossa, I decided to dedicate time to experiences that help me grow personally and professionally. I volunteer with the Italian Red Cross, where I serve on the ambulance team. This experience has taught me teamwork, responsibility, and compassion, and it has made me very confident when it comes to first aid and emergency situations. During some events, I also help organize activities for children, such as face painting or small community games — something that combines my love for helping others with my passion for working with kids.
In my free time, I enjoy reading books that inspire me or teach me something new, watching documentaries (especially about history), traveling, and discovering new cultures. I also love staying active — sports help me stay balanced both physically and mentally. I spend a lot of time with my family and friends, as sharing good moments with the people I care about is something that makes me truly happy.
Becoming an au pair feels like the perfect next step for me — it’s a wonderful way to grow, explore a new culture, and do something I genuinely love: caring for children. I hope to become a positive part of my host family, to share my culture, learn from theirs, and create beautiful memories together.
