Introduzione personale
My sincerest greetings to you and family and thanks for taking the time to explore my profile! My name is Rosa and I am an university student in Finland. I have always wanted to be an au pair, and now I decided it would be good time to try a new adventure, hopefully in your family!
I have a big family, including my parents, uncles, aunts and cousins. Values like honesty, reliability and responsibility have always been a big part of who I am. I believe we should treat other people with respect and with open heart. I have always enjoyed being around people, and doing fun things together. Family vacations and celebrating birthdays have been very important to me since I was a child. I have always loved taking care of my younger cousins, because I am the oldest cousin in my family. My cousins feel like real sisters and brothers to me, and I enjoy being their "big sister" and role model.
I have been babysitting since I was 16 years old. Usually our neighbors or relatives needed help with the children, and I got some pocket money from babysitting. Their parents were busy with work or had other schedules, so after school and on the weekends I spent time with their children. I took them to playground, zoo, beach and other fun places. When we got back home, I gave them food and usually played some games together before the parents came home. I really enjoy spending time with children and seeing them happy.
Couple years ago I was a leader of children's craft club for 2 years. Everyday I went there to help and guide children to paint, draw and craft. Sometimes we also played games such as hide and seek, or sang songs together. I really loved the children, and I think the feeling was mutual. I still cherish those memories in my heart.
I would like to become an Au Pair abroad because it offers the perfect opportunity to combine my passion for childcare with my love for cultural exchange and travel. From 2022 to 2024 I was an exchange student in South Korea. I think that experience made me realize there is so much things to see in this world, and so many lovely people from different cultures to meet. That is also why I would love to experience an au pair life and work as a tutor as well if possible.
During my exchange year, I worked as an English tutor in a local family. I taught English three times a week to three children, a 9 -year-old and 7 -year-old twins. I am happy I was able to make the language learning educational and fun at the same time! I helped the children to do their homework, fix their grammar and read a book together. I got positive feedback from the parents, who said they noticed their children enjoyed learning English more, and their language skills got better. I really felt I was part of the family. I still keep in touch with the host mom and she updates me about the children and their progress as well.
I think because of my positive personality and childcare experience, I would be a good au pair. I hope my host family treats me as a family member, and we can have good memories together. I want to be a good role model to children, so they can see me as a big sister who is there to help and take care of them. If you think I would be a right au pair to your family, or you have some questions, feel free to contact me and let's talk more!
Best regards,
Rosa
