We are a small family: myself, Ian, aged 59 and retired though I travel a lot. My wife, Jenny, works as Director of the Manchester International Festival and Victoria, aged 13, who is at the Grange School, Northwich. I was in business, oil and gas, and my wife, fluent in German and French, worked for the BBC for thirty years until she left recently to join the MIF. We have properties in SW France and live in a detached house with land in Utkinton, near Tarporley. We are 20 minutes or so from Chester and a nearby train service gets you to Manchester or Liverpool. We would supply access to a car. We have a Rhodesian Ridgeback dog called Barley, aged 5. Crewe station is the nearest mainline rail hub.
We are looking for a mature person, either sex, who can help with Victoria - particularly school run, homework, and a French speaker would be ideal. Victoria is learning French and Spanish and we would see this as an opportunity to improve language skills, perhaps on both sides. We would also need someone who can help look after Barley. I am planning to travel next year 2017 for up to 2 months from mid-February so we would need the person in place by then.
